Bergen County Bites: Nine New Must-Try Restaurants Opening Near You

Two sushi spots, a Cajun hot pot eatery, and a cozy family-owned café.

These are just a few of the exciting new restaurants that have recently opened — or are about to debut — in Bergen County.

Here’s the lineup:

Carlstadt: Meet Hot Pot, 508 Route 17, an authentic hotpot and cajun seafood/grill, now open.

Closter: Sookae's Kitchen, 211 Closter Dock Road, artisanal catering and gourmet meals. Now open.

Englewood: Sko Sushi, 41 Sylvan Ave., sushi by master sushi chef Yoshio Takaido, who has 47 years of experience, the website says. Open now.

Fort Lee: Edge Pizza & Pasta, 2036 Hudson St.: New Italian restaurant. Unclear when the opening is.

Hasbrouck Heights: Chef J's Latin Dragon, 250 Boulevard, Hasbrouck Heights. Upscale Asian and Latin fusion that started as a food truck. Coming soon.

Ridgewood: Blue Ridge Cafe, 37 E Ridgewood Ave., family-owned cafe "serving quality coffee, cozy vibes, and handmade bites." Appears to be open now.

Ridgewood: Toastique, 2-4 Garber Sq., opening Nov. 23: Gourmet Toast and Juice bar.

Rutherford: Butterfish Sushi, 15 Franklin Pl., grand opening Dec. 6: New Japanese and sushi restaurant.

Westwood: Salad House, 48 Westwood Ave., coming soon: National salad chain.
